It is Time to Talk About the r/Relationship_Advice SubReddit

I love Reddit. It is where I get my news, go to talk about my interests, find dank memes, and to pretty much kill time. It’s a longer version of twitter pretty much, but every viral tweet you see on twitter originated from Reddit. Now Reddit is a big website, there are ‘subreddits’ or categories about any topic imaginable. You want to talk about the NBA? Just go to Reddit and talk shooty hoops with a bunch of random strangers! Spending your Monday night at 8 pm/7 pm CT watching Colton try and find love but have nobody to talk to about how much of a bitch Demi is being? All you have to do is join in the live episode discussion. Do you need to buy a mirror? Well, good news! You can do that on Reddit too! You get it. There are lots of subreddits.

Well this morning I stumbled upon a subreddit called r/relationship_advice, a community that has 1.5 million members. “Fantastic.” I thought. “I love reading about people and their miserable relationships.” The first post on the page was this.

If you just scrolled past that because you don’t want to read the body of the post, you’re doing a disservice to yourself. To sum it up, the guy’s girlfriend loves horses to the point that she wants him to him to wear a horse costume and have sex on hay and got mad at him when he told her no. After reading this post, my immediate thoughts were to go to the comment section, and when I say I was shocked at what I saw. I was shocked at what I saw.

That was it. I was hooked on this sub. Like a crack addict, I needed another one to supplement this high I was on. How can I top fucking on hay??

Again if you skipped this because you don’t want to read, scroll up and read this. I know there are a lot of layers to this onion story, but this is the whitest conflict I’ve ever read about. Absolute nonsense..

if you thought these two stories weren’t enough to satisfy my craving of self created melodrama, buddy I have news for you. There are hundreds of stories like these on here. Things like this!

See stories like these are funny until they happen to you. At this point I was very satisfied with my time at r/relationship_advise, they got a new lurker I figured I would read one more and that’d be the end of it.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. I saw this while I was at work and I had to take a walk. The best part of this one is that buddy got mad at this girl for finding it! Having a thing for periods deserves jail, a run-on lengthy sentence. “fish them out of a bin” JESUS CHRIST. The more I read it the worse it gets. I’m done I’m ending the blog here.

So just remember, when you’re complaining about how your significant other isn’t texting you back for 10 minutes, at least they aren’t making you dress like a horse or fishing your tampons out of the garbage.
