Music Monday: An Introduction

I really enjoy blogging. Blogging is great because I have a strong support system who if I send a link to a post they’ll lie to my face and say they read it. I’ve been doing the Vinnie’s Week in Review series for about 6 months now, and, despite that being incredible content isn’t enough to quench my thirst for killing time on the stair master and typing my thoughts using my sweaty fingers. I also love music. As I have said numerous times, I am a music connoisseur; my opinion on contemporary pop hits carry a lot of weight in the inner circles of recording studios all around this great country. So I’m going to combine two of my loves and start sharing my music takes with the world. If you disagree with my beliefs please make me aware. This is the internet, a place for civil conversations and a melting pot where differing opinions can be discussed respectfully.

This is not going to be a series where I list no-name songs off of an artist’s shitty second album that’ll you’ll hear occasionally in an urban coffee shop. We only grade hits here. I’m not looking for songs that have the best underlying message. I’m not looking for songs that represent the artist’s struggle and triumph over something shitty that happened to them. I don’t care about any of that. I’m looking for fucking bangers. I’m looking for bops, and don’t worry, I’ll sprinkle in some jams too. We are only ranking the cream of the crop, the pinnacle of an artist’s success.

Each post will be formatted as followed: an overview/my opinion of the artist’s said career, followed by the ranking of their top 5 songs. No artist is without flaws, their worst three songs will also be judged and ripped to shreds

The first edition of this series can be found here.
