What’s up guys and gals. Before you ask, because I know the suspense is killing you. Yes, my birthday was good. I’m officially on my own insurance, what a scary feeling. I was making jokes about it all week and believe it or not, had numerous people ask what type of benefits package I signed up for. First of all, what an AWFUL small talk topic that I suddenly found myself partaking in, I’ve never had anyone who wasn’t my dentist ask me if X-Rays were covered in my dental coverage until this week. Second, if you think my health is worth anything more than the cheapest options, you clearly value me more than I value myself. I’m not sure how many of you have had to sign up for benefits but it almost forces you to think critically about the injuries you expect to have in a calendar year. It’s like getting toppings at an ice cream bar, are you gonna keep it basic or are you gonna sprinkle in some ACL surgery coverage because you might join a men’s recreational basketball league in July even though you haven’t hooped in a decade and your old muscles and joint can’t keep up with the rigor of running back and forth for 30 min. Getting old is the best!
